It’s upon us again; Valentine’s Day! A day of celebrating love, and in this trade, the first major opportunity of the year. It’s important to make the most of it and to that end, we have put together a list of ideas to make it even more magical!
Save the day
There are those that have planned ahead and sorted out their Valentine's Day gifts, and then there are the last minute lot making a last ditch effort. It's always good to be prepared for this demographic as it's an excellent opportunity to both save the day, and leave a lasting impression! That customer will know where to come back for all their jewellery needs.
Offer a helping hand
Again, like in the above example, some people know what they’re looking for, but a lot just have the right intention, without knowing what to actually get their partner. This is the day your team needs to be in top form and rise to the occasion. Once again, your customers will know who to come to when they need a thoughtful gift.
Knowing exactly how much of each product you might need is difficult. Order too little and you can’t fulfil orders, order too much and you will have them sitting in the stock room. This is where technology and data come in handy! If you pull up the sales history of previous Valentine Days and combine that with current trends in the market, you can get a pretty good idea of what you will need.
